I feel so sad to hear of Betty's passing and have missed the service. Betty use to come to our lottery kiosk and she loved to get the scratch crossword card. She was always one of my favourites with her kind ways and cheery personality. When she won and wanted to say thank you she'd be sure to grab us a coffee! It was such a pleasure to have your lovely Betty be party of our day! She will always be missed and I hope she will get her Crosswords because I know she's an angel now.

So sorry to hear of Betty's passing. Although I haven't seen Betty for almost 40 years, she played a special role in my life and my brother and friends too!

We used to go to Betty's dayhome! I have a lot of fond and funny memories of Betty as she looked after a whole crew of us before and after school. She made the best chicken noodle soup and peanut butter on white bread... LOL, it wasn't fancy, it just tasted better at Betty's house for some reason!

I remember playing with Michelle... there was a huge bucket of Lego, and always lots of really cool scrap paper to do crafts with...and playing school down in the basement!

I also remember that Betty always hung her laundry out to dry, and one morning it was frozen solid in life like forms in the kitchen... she had to put Michelle's clothes in the oven to thaw them out!

I also remember that Betty loved Hawaii, and we would listen to Jim Neighbors records. I don't know if these memories are accurate, but it is the way I remember it :)

I always smile when I think of our time at Betty's. Although I am sure there were many times she wanted to ring our necks for fighting and getting into mischief!!

I have thought of her often throughout the years... she made an impact on our lives. I had my own dayhome when my first son was born, and I thought to myself... I am Betty!! I will miss her, and I send my love and prayers to her family.

So sad to hear of the loss of Betty. My mother, Sophie, was one of her good friends, but passed away years ago. I often sat or chatted with Betty at the Saturday meat draws at the Army and Navy. When she won some meat I always congratulated her, and she would always say the same thing, "its for the girls". She will be missed by many. Rest in peace Betty, and say hello to my mom.

Michelle, I am so sorry to hear about your mother and so glad you got to spend the last few days with her. She was such an independent lady, still think of her with her walker and a smile on her face...Love, Annette

Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing Debbie. It's been a while, but I still have fond memories of bowling all together at Valley Lanes. Your Mom, my Mom and Cathy Holling. I've bumped into her a few times shopping, or riding the bus, and she's always smiled and we'd recall old times. She will be missed.
