  I was saddenned to hear about the passing of "Mr. Smith", only today. My condolences to Bruce, Doug, Brenda, Barbie and their families. I lived right next door to Mr. and Mrs. Smith and what great neighbours they were. From Mrs. Smith babysitting Maxim and Josiane for a few years to Mr. Smith fixing anything that broke and giving heaps of vegetables over the fence. They were both kind and generous people. Maxim and Josiane learned how to skate on Mr. Smith's outdoor rink and he loved watching their progress and the fun they were having. May he rests in peace

  Bob was a good neighbour and was always willing to lend a hand. We were grateful to him for all the help we received over the years and his watchful eye over us. We were sad we didn't get to see him one last time before he passed.

  I have known Bob all my life, growing up across the street from the Smith family. I spent winters in the back yard playing shinny on the rink he would build every winter. He would let the neighbourhood kids know when it was time for supper as we would all hear the infamous yodel.It could be heard by all. He was a kind and generous man, who was always there for his neighbours. When he came to Sunpointe, he was once again across the way from my mother. He spent time with her, reminiscing about life on the block even though she of course didn't remember. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.
