    Hello Sandy

So sorry for your loss. I can remember when Richard was taking flying lessons down in the USA and would come up here once in a while. He eventually got on with PWA - I think flying Herc's then the 737's and on from there. Didn't get to spend a lot time with him but had many chats. He had a bit of a rough marriage then met you and was so happy to be with you as you are a great woman. I actually worked briefly with his father and knew his mother for years. As you know I have been around a long time - met a lot of great people in the aviation business - Richard is one of the most outstanding and will be remembered as such by a large number of crews and people outside the business.

Hope to see you around the airport some time.

    Take care of yourself.

Dear Sandra and family: We're sorry to hear about your loss of Richard. Though we were neighbours for a just a short time, Richard has a special place in our hearts, for his hospitality and wicked sense of humour. He also shared our fascination with star gazing and love of aviation. The Christmas Eve we spent together on your rooftop patio is an extra special memory, amongst your lovingly tended tropical plants and trees. How the heck did you get those up there, anyway? Ceiling unlimited! Sail on, sailor. With love from Teresa and Brodie.
