SIEBRING, Ralph Albert

SIEBRING, Ralph Albert

July 14, 1924 - September 6, 2019

On September 6th Ralph Siebring passed away at the age of 95. Although we grieve his passing, we rejoice that he is now in heaven with his Lord and Saviour.

Ralph Siebring was born in Emmen, the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Six months later his fiancee, Grace Kooijinga, joined him and they were married on January 1st, 1953. Although he was an accountant by trade, he was an academic at heart and obtained both a law degree and doctorates in Divinity and Theology. Ralph had an entrepreneurial spirit and was involved in many enterprises throughout his life. He was a strong supporter of Christian schools and universities and is one of the founders of Calgary Christian School and King's University College. He loved to travel and play mind-enriching games such as chess and Sudoku, but his greatest love was reserved for his Lord and his family. After Grace Siebring succumbed to her battle with Alzheimer's in October 2007, Ralph married Hannie Pikstra and they shared a wonderful life together that brought them, and our whole family, much joy.

Left to mourn Ralph's passing are his wife, Hannie; his five children: Bernie (Pat) of Kelowna, Corinne (Dan) of Kelowna, John (Cheryl) of Calgary, Helen (Brian) of Chilliwack, Joyce (Ian) of Calgary; 18 grandchildren (plus spouses); 25 great-grandchildren; two step-children: Harmjan (Corinne); JanDirk (Anje); 7 step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Grace, and his step-daughter Gerda.

We are grateful for his life and the legacy of faith he instilled in each of us.

"For we do not mourn as those who have no hope ..." 1 Thessalonians 4:13

A graveside committal will take place on September 16th, at 9:30am at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the graveside, a funeral service will be held at 11am at Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Dr, Kelowna, BC V1W 3N4. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kelowna Christian School, 2870 Benvoulin Rd. Kelowna, BC V1W 2E3.

Arrangements are in care of Everden Rust Funeral Services & Crematorium, (250)860-6440.

Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.everdenrust.com.
