SHUTIAK, Phyllis

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother Phyllis Shutiak who passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2009 in Kelowna at the age of 84. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1987, daughter Patricia Bell in 2009, brothers Bruno, Peter, Stanislaus Lishchynsky, sisters Apolonia Ganchar and Frances Lucyshyn.

Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her children; Elaine Eubanks, Terry, Barbara (Garry) Rondeau, Sandra (Glenn) Thompson, Janice (Larry) Plaxton , son in law Don Bell, grandchildren; James (Tannis) Eubanks, Gregg (Roza) Bell, Michael Bell, Amie (Morgan) Hough, Nicole, Kristen, Garrett Rondeau, Riley, Ramsey Thompson, Callee Plaxton, great grandchildren; Samantha Bell, Keira Eubanks, and Oliver Hough, and siblings; Albina Hrytsak, Clara Zakreski, Virginia Zook, Edward (Elizabeth) Lishchynsky.

A service will be held on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010 at 11:00 am at Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Road in Kelowna, B.C. V1X 3M5. Mom always said she lived in "Gods Country"; she will be laid to rest in Kelowna City Cemetery surrounded by the mountains, lakes and trees that she loved.
