Obituaries

Passed away peacefully at the age of 83 after her battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Reinhold Schindel of 61 years and her 2 kids Mel and Brenda and her 7 grandchildren.

Memorial service is Friday Aug 11th @ 1:00 Evangel 3261 Gordon Dr. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Kelowna hospice house or to the Guatemala mission fund at Evangel.

  I had the privilege of traveling to Guatemala on a mission trip with Linda! She was a shining light of love where ever we went! What an Inspiration she was to everyone in our group. RIP beautiful Linda

  Prayed together with her in a Saturday AM prayer group with a few others for our Sunday morning service. I always felt loved, cherished and accepted while with her. She had a special gift for making others feel loved. May I learn to follow her good example.

  Linda will live on in many hearts and lives as she has touched a countless amount of people over the many years that we have known her. Her love, smile, gentleness, compassion and her love of Jesus, will continue to inspire and heal hearts always. She has impacted so many of us. Our love and prayers go out to you all at this time as you go through the grieving and the loss.   Mrs. Schindel was perhaps the nicest, most loving person I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She's been a friend of our family for as long as I can remember. She always had the kindest words and was always encouraging to me. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her dearly. Blessings & prayers to the family as they go through dealing with the loss of an amazing wife and mom.

  When I think of Linda, I think LOVE. There was never a time when we would see each other and she didn't hug, hug, hug me. Always! She had that God given sparkle in her eyes that said "Jesus is everything". After we were married she gave us a beautiful china cabinet. I think of her every time I look at it. She was a sweet aroma of the Father. Jesus living in her was Love to the world.

  My condolences go out to the family with thoughts and prayers. I worked with Linda for 8 yrs. in Children's wear at the Bay. She was a very lovely kind lady. May you RIP. May the family find comfort while going through these most difficult days and weeks ahead.
