Obituaries

Bernice passed away peacefully on March 26, 2019, just a month short of her 97th birthday and 70th wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her loving husband Richard (Sandy) Sanderson; children Rick (Clara), Diane (Gerry) Thacyk, Barry, and Kevin (Dorothy); grandchildren Christopher Sanderson, Stacy (Mike) Thorneloe, Darcie (Casey) Karpiuk, Regan Sanderson, Ryan (Amy) Sanderson, Jennifer (Ian) Longpre, and Erin (Tom) Hurd; great grandchildren Tayvan Sanderson, Kaleb and Mitchell Thorneloe, Owen and Emma Longpre, and Tobin and Tessa Hurd; sister Zilpha Dark; brother Art (Shirley) Ewen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

  Dick, I and those who remember you from Rutland United Church and send you our prayers and sincerest condolences on Bernice's passing. My grand-daughters still remember when you would bring thoughtful treats like coloring books, etc. for them when they were small. I remember her well; Bernice was such a delightful soul !   Wow, such a wonderful age of 97! I haven't seen Richard and Bernice in years but I use to do travel arrangements for them and have fond memories of those times.
