Pris, I just found out today that Ronnie had passed away last year, in an e-mail from Kenda. I am so sorry. It was way too soon. I will always think of him as the one other person who would understand what it was like growing up on Pasqua St. He made me feel so comfortable on student council at USRC. Thinking of him still makes me smile! I know we didn't keep in touch over the years, because we all moved away from Regina, but I thought of you often. Kenda and Al told me they drove out to the coast to see you a few years ago, so I got some news of you and Ron then. Please accept my sincere condolences. Take care of yourself.

    Best regards, Scotty

    To Those Who Knew Him:

Your thoughts and support over the last year have been so, so important. Our family suffered such a great loss and will never be the same, yet somehow we carry on and our strength renews. What has become clear is that Dad's mark is one of character- a true gentleman and an example to follow.

On behalf of the whole family, thank you for your continued support. Let us continue to remember him and cherish our times with him.

    Thank you,

    Tyson Russell

    Priscilla,

I knew and worked with Ron for many years through London Life, and had the pleasure of dinner with both of you sitting outside at Milestone's in the Inner Harbour of Victoria - quite a few years ago now. He will be missed by everyone, as he was so wonderfully personable. My thoughts are with you at this time.

    Sincerely,

    Pris and family,

It was a shock to hear that Ron had passed away. I was a high school friend since 1961 and we shared many adventures and good times together. Ron was the most soft spoken person I had ever met, he had a gentle nature and the epitome of the soft sell.

Our sincere condolences to your family.

    Your friends,

    To the Russell Family,

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of Ron. I worked for Ron a few years ago, he was an amazing man! Not only did he care for the clients and their best interest but for the staff and their families as well. In all of my years working, I have never been treated by an employer as well as I was by Ron. I will never forget the day he took all the women in our office out to lunch and let us go on a shopping spree because he said "we worry so much about our families we needed a day for us." Although I only worked for Ron a short time, the values and compassion that he has shown and inspired in me will be something that I strive to continue.

In 1967 a young Ron welcomed me to the U or R, with a sincere and playful smile and went on to explain the wisdom I had shown in becoming a B Admin. student. Little did I realize he was to be a friend and mentor until today. I can never recall an unpleasant or angry moment in our relationship. Differences of opinion and the odd moment of wonder at various activities but always a respect for who I was and what I did. In the time before family we shared long hours of fellowship with a house hold of friends.

During the family time we shared births, and passing’s, birthdays, successes, schools , careers , opportunities and moving from one home to another and always with an open door and a welcome of can we help. As families matured so did the distance between us but it was renewed only two years ago when Ron was in the Valley he suddenly appear and shared an evening on our deck . Just last Sunday a returned Phone call saying yes he would like some Photos I had found.

To Pris and family our love , our blessing, your loss is our loss
