I didn't know Greg well but I had an experience with him that needs to be told. I took my 7 year old daughter to initiation hockey for the first skate of the season. The purpose was to divide the kids equally among teams. I had no hockey background and yet my daughter wanted to play after watching the Canadian women win gold in the Winter Olympics in Japan. I had my daughters skates sharpened and thought I would protect the skates by adding clear sock tape to the blades as we had no guards!!! My daughter had very little experience on skates and yet she had the guts to show up at the boy's try out. As soon as she stepped on to the ice it was obvious something wasn't right. Thankfully Greg was one of the dads on the ice helping out!!! She was the only girl on the ice with 40+ boys. Greg noticed my daughter struggling and stayed by her side and helped support her and figured out what was wrong! The clear tape on the skates kinda got in the way of skating! He stayed with her and made her feel like she belonged. She was determined yet on the verge of giving up. If it wasn't for Greg being there to support her she surly would have quit playing before even starting a 10 year hockey career with two provincial titles. I will never forget Greg and his kind heart for helping my daughter that day. There were other guys on the ice that day, but only one man that took the time away from his own child to support another that was struggling! I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing and I only wish I could have been there to support Greg the way he did my daughter.

    Rest In Peace Greg.
