RODE, George (1932 - 2011)
It is with deep sadness that the family of George Rhodes (Rode) announce his passing on October 24, 2011 in Kelowna, BC. George and his twin sister Maggie were born in Great Deer Saskatchewan, August 19, 1932. He grew-up on a farm with numerous brothers and sisters and then moved to British Columbia. He is survived by his first wife Ann, sons Gordon (Laura), James (Leeanna), Kelly (Patricia) and daughter Julia; grandchildren, Scott (Andrea), Christopher, Jamie-Lee, Judd, and great grand-children, Victoria, Caitlin and Nolan. (as well as numerous step grand/great-children.) He is also survived by step-children from his marriage to Opal, Lydia (Raymond), Barry (Coreena), Mark (Andrea) and Timothy (Kelly); grandchildren, Robin, Dwayne, Kristy, Melanie, Jonathan, Jamie, Darcy, Luke, Reid, Matthew, and Nicholas, great grandchildren, Hailey, Kassidy, Joshua, Kalista, Jacob, Jesse, Casey and Hudson.
George loved to be outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for George at 11:a.m., Saturday November 12, at The River of Life Church, 629 Battle St. in Kamloops, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the River of Life Ministry, 629 Battle Street,Kamloops, B.C. V2C 2M4 - 250-377-0174.
