RESZITNYK, Raymond Norman UPDATED SERVICE INFO

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Due to the current pandemic restrictions, it is by invitation only.

1943 - 2019

Ray passed away at the Kelowna General Hospital on Friday, November 22, 2019, at the age of 76. Ray was born on May 6, 1943, in Ethelbert, Manitoba.

He worked as an engineer most of his life, loved curling, hockey, golf and Ukrainian music; something he always listened to when driving home to Manitoba. Ray was someone who was loved by everyone he met; always the guy with a joke, but also a listening ear when you needed it. Ray deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving daughter Raelene Reszitnyk of Calgary, AB; grandchildren Daymen Reszitnyk-Martina, Allyssa Reszitnyk-Martina, Kayden Reszitnyk-Keith, Anya Reszitnyk-Keith all of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by siblings Kathleen Guttman of Aylmer, ON, Marion (Norm) Gilbert of DeKalb, Illinois, and Anne Dupley (Alex) of Gilbert Plains, MB; sister-in-law Ann Rennie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Ray was predeceased by his parents Paul and Justyna; his brothers Michael, Harry, Alex (Walda), and Dave; and his sisters Jessie and Cassie (Frank).

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, www.diabetes.ca. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com.

My condolences to the Reszitnyk family! Ray was my neighbour and he is sadly missed. He always had a smile or was ready to tease someone. He left an empty hole. He was a good man.
