REEVE, Patricia Joyce

REEVE, Patricia Joyce - Of St. Paul, Alberta, died Saturday May 21, 2011 at the age of 72.

She was born to the late Thomas Arthur and Marie Boyle on February 3, 1939, in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Pat graduated high school in 1957 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and went on to obtain a diploma in Health Care Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. She was the first female in that program to have the distinction of earning the highest marks.

Pat worked in the health care field in The Pas, Manitoba, Edmonton, Alberta and finally in Kelowna where she eventually retired. In 2010 she moved to St. Paul, Alberta to be closer to her youngest grandchildren.

Pat was an avid golfer and in her younger years, loved to participate in a good ball game. She had a passion for her favorite sport of curling and had played regularly on a recreational and competitive level. She was a very talented seamstress and spent many hours sewing for family and friends, her way of sharing and showing her love. She had a talent for entertaining her friends and many will remember her for her great jokes and love of life.

Pat is survived by four children: Laurie Troock (Brian) of Kelowna, B.C.; Brad Fournier (Therese) of Waterloo, Ontario; Brent Fournier (Heike) of Kelowna, B.C. and Peggy Fedoruk (Doug) of St. Paul, Alberta. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild; Rebecca, Nicole, Jacqueline, Hailey, Michelle, Braydon, Danielle, Nicholas, Brandon, Taylor, Hannah, Reid, Sydni and Kamdyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on July 17, 2011 in the banquet room at Aspen Grove Golf in Lake Country, B.C. at 2:00 pm.

  • Laurie and Peggy,

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was truly one of my favourite people, so funny and generous with her knowledge of curling when I was just learning to skip. She had such great spirit and she'll be missed.
