Obituaries

Born April 9, 1924 in Stari Kot, Slovenia and left us with heavy hearts on September 18, 2012 at the age of 88. Frank was a hero. He was discharged from the Canadian Infantry Corps of Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1946 after serving in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He received a France and Germany Star, and a Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp in respect of his service.
Left to grieve him are his wife, Stella, Stepdaughter, Helen Mooney (Bob), Stepson Dennis Sadowski (Kathy) and grandchildren, Nicola Priestley (Matt), Alexander Sadowski (Amanda) and great grandchildren, Elli Priestley.
A visitation will be held Sunday, September 23rd at 2:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home. Funeral services to be held Monday, September 24th , 2012 at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC with Clair Jantzen officiating. Interment to follow at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society .
