PSARIOW, Eugene

PSARIOW, Eugene

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene Psariow at Kelowna General Hospital on April 18, 2017. A humble man who had such a positive outlook on life. He was a role model and hero to all who shared moments in his life. Always active, whether it was going to weekly dances at the Seniors' Centre or working in his garden, our dad, grandad and friend leaves a big hole in our lives.

A formal service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday April 27, 2017 at Springfield Funeral Home. A small reception will be held at the Funeral Home following internment. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.

Our condolences to the family from Meals on Wheels. Although we didn't know him well, our Volunteers enjoyed seeing him every week. He was a gentle, kind and pleasant gentleman. God bless.

I met Eugene through my good neighbour Rose. He would visit Rose in his yellow 'boat' of a car. A truly special man who was so hard working, giving, and caring. Rest in peace Eugene and say hello to Rose from me.

We had the pleasure of getting to know Eugene through his friendship with Rosalee Bohn, whose death preceded Eugene's. We had them in our home for dinner on more than one occasion and enjoyed them both tremendously. Eugene had a great sense of humor and had us laughing on more than one occasion with his funny and entertaining stories. I was also a recipient of a jar of homemade sauerkraut that Eugene had made - it was so good. We are sad to hear of his loss but know that he is resting peacefully. Godspeed Eugene.
