PEARSON, Peter James
We regret to announce the passing of Peter James Pearson on August 8th, 2011 in Kelowna at the age of 58.
He was born September 9th, 1952 in OK Mission. Son of the late Leonard and Margaret Pearson of Kelowna. Peter was predeceased by his wife Heather in 2008. He is survived by his children: Cassie (Chris) Risely, Cary (Tina) Pearson, Michael (Amber) Pearson, all of Kelowna. His four granddaughters: Anikia, Lyssa, Paige and Kylie. Also survived by eight siblings: Doug (Donna) Pearson of Mission, Wendy (Ron) Robinson of Osoyoos, Connie (Steve) Burt of Vernon, Russell (Irene) Pearson of Mission, Lorne (Brenda) of Grand Forks, Patricia MacMillan of grand Forks, Janet (Phil) McKerry of Evansburg Alberta, Kelly (Louise) of Vernon. Also sister in laws: Gail Prothmann, Lil (Ken) Kupser of Winfield. Brother in laws: Rob Williams, Darrell Procter of Armstrong, and mother in law Lydia Williams. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Peter was born in OK Mission, at the PS Mallam dairy farm, now known as Summerhill Estate Winery. Peter moved in 1955 with his family to the Ernie Day dairy farm where he spent his early years. He attended AS Matheseon, Dr. Knox and KSS Schools. He met and married Heather Williams in 1972. They raised 3 children in Kelowna. He spent 36+ years as a tireman at OK Tires. He was an avid golfer, pool player and fisherman. The outdoors was his passion in life.
Funeral service is being held on Friday August 19th at 6pm at Salvation Army Community Church on Sutherland. in lieu of flowers Family is asking donations be made to Player Development Trust Fund c/o B.C. Golf Assocation.
