    Dearest Marci,

It has been a few weeks, but know that Geoff's passing away did hit us hard. He was a really extra special man...always portraying happiness. He certainly loved you and complimented you each chance he got. God bless you as you miss him, and have that great void that only Jesus can fill with the comfort of knowing that Geoff is just asleep in Jesus. He will awaken when Jesus calls to him and says, "Geoff wake up!!" That is the promise I must hang on to.

    Love,

Marie and Ralph Kneller (from CHIP)

Marci and the Paynter family, it is with great sadness that I and the entire community of Westbank feel your loss. As a long time friend of your family I know how much you will all miss Geoff and his unique personality. A witty, rye sense of humour, a willingness to lend a hand whenever possible, a constant thinker on resolving technical challenges with the ability to just make things work. We are going to miss you Geoffrey! Good bless and god speed.

Dear Marci and the Paynter family. Don and I were shocked to learn today at Prayers for the people during the service at Westbank United church about the loss of your husband Jeff. Unfortunately we will be unable to attend the service on the 3rd of Sept. as we will be in Calgary. We are grateful for the short visit with you both in July. Know that we are thinking of you and treasure the time we have known you & Jeff. Don especially having taught some of Jef'fs siblings will hold the Paytner family in our prayers. Strength and love to all. Bev & Don Froom

Marcy and family. I was shocked to find this ad in the paper. I was working in Stillwaters. I believed that Edwina called him "Lucky". He would come in to bring fresh fruits for the staff. Sorry to hear he has gone to be with Edwina. She will be waiting for him, he was her everything. Condolences to the family. Prayers are with you for strength.

Marci and family. So saddened to see Geoff's name in this column. I know there are tears flowing now, and how could there not. When I would see the two of you together I didn't know where one of you started and the other ended. It was a seamless unity of love for each other and then out to all who knew you. What a blessing. In the weeks and months ahead as you slowly begin again, not alone because he never left your heart .. your tears will turn to deep gratitude for every second you had him physically at your side. Sending much love to you Marci who smiles easily, forgives mightily, and shines your light so brightly. Rosalie Chalmers xo

Marci and family, my condolences to you all in the loss of Geoff. You both were the first people I met when I came to Westbank and I can't thank you enough with how you both opened your door to me and made me feel welcome. That is something I will never forget. Every time I saw Geoff he would always say hi, 20+ years later. We have lost a special man and the community will miss his smiling face.

Marci and family, so sorry to hear about Geoff. He was truly a great man, as honest as the day is long. Marci, you and Geoff were a wonderful example of two people truly in love. Geoff, was one of the most positive people I have met (a quality that seems to run freely amongst the Paynters) and you both were so fun to be with. So sorry.

Dear Marci and family, over the years there has been quite a bit of water flowing under the Paynter/Mayne bridge. I have always found that Geoff and in fact all of the Paynter's to be :"ok, let's get in there, get our hands dirty and get the job done". I felt honoured to be invited several times to join the Friday lunch family get together. The way that the Paynter's look after each other is admirable!

    Our hearts are with you.
