It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing away of Margaret Rose O’Shea on Tuesday June 30, 2009.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother to daughter’s Patricia & (Gilles) Rivet, Michelle O’Shea, her sons Christian & (Gabriella) Sas and Thomas Sas. She also leaves many grandchildren, Nicole (Bob) Rivet, Noelle Rivet, Gina, Tyler Sas; Trinity, Cameron, Curtis, Nicholas Sas; Chelsea, Shannon Stinert. Margaret also leaves behind her Mother Annie Olsen, and many sisters and brothers. Don (Doreen) Olsen, Arvey (Eilleen) Olsen, Russel Olsen, sisters Shirley (Mike) Budzinski; Judy (Dave) King; Brenda (Terry) Isaman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Ken O’Shea, father Dave Olsen and her father In-Law Jim O’Shea.
Margaret was born in Angle Lake, Alberta On Aug 30,1941 were she grew up in small farming communities through out Alberta. At 19 Margaret met and married Tom Sas Sr. and shortly after that had their first daughter Patricia. Three year later had a son Christian and another three years later a second son Thomas.
In 1970 the family moved to Yellowknife to start a new life, during the many years spent in Yellowknife Margaret and Tom grew apart and Margaret was remarried to Mike Paulette and the family adopted a daughter Michelle.
After a few years Margaret decided to move south with Michelle and Thomas as the other children were grown. Margaret met and married what she described as her true sole mate Ken O’shea.
Margaret, held many different careers through out her life from Hairdressing, Waitressing, Nurse’s aid, Correctional Officer, and Taxi driver, and finally settled and content with being farm cook and loving wife.
Many will remember Margaret for her outstanding talents and ability do anything she set her mind to, from her well diverse career choices too her wonderful homemaker abilities including sewing, cooking and her many arts and crafts.
She will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all that knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church in Chase, B.C. on Monday, July 6th, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Bob Crosby officiating. Interment to follow at the Chase Cemetery.
