NAITO, John

NAITO, John

With great love, respect, and sadness, we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa, John Naito on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the age of 89. He will forever be loved and missed by his wife of 64 years, Emma; his four children Randy (Chris), Greg, Russell (Christine), and Donna (Bob); his grandchildren, Lindsay (Aaron), Michael, Spencer, Amanda, Mitchell, (Stephanie), Madison (Nav), Lisa (Chris), and Julie (Tison); and his great grandson Luke.
John was a gentleman, a humble man of integrity and strength with a good sense of humour, who put others before himself. He worked tirelessly to always provide for his family. His marriage to Emma was a testament of true love.
John was a family man. He was so proud of his children and their spouses. He would always have a smile on his face when talking about his beautiful grandchildren and how they had all grown up to be loving, kind, and thoughtful young men and women.
Playing sports himself while growing up, he continued to watch his children and then his grandchildren participate in a wide variety of activities. Cheering from the sidelines or in the stands, Grandpa and Granny were their number one fans. With knowledge and enthusiasm, John was always up for a good conversation about sports.
The memories that have been created will bring joy and peace to our hearts forever. Honoring John

    Dear Emma and Family,

Our entire family was so saddened to learn of John's passing. Our fondest memories of John are the Japanese Canadian picnics that he was so instrumental in organizing. Our sons, Graeme and Brandon, have particularly happy memories of the fun, games and prizes that John ensured all the children would receive....especially the giant watermelons!! We have all lost a true gentleman.

    With deepest and saddest condolences,

Brian, Grace, Trisha, Graeme and Brandon

We are so sorry Emma and family for your loss. John was an amazing man with an incredible devotion to his family and a keen sense of humor. We did not know him as well as we had would of liked but really very much enjoyed out times with him. John's greatest legacy is his family, all of whom are very kind, generous and successful people. We know he was so very proud of all of you and you all brought him great job and satisfaction.
