McNISH, Cheryl - Passed away peacefully at home after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 07, 2008 at the age of 41.

She is survived by her loving husband and best friend Doug McNish; Rhonda Hymers (Jason) of Kelowna and their children Callum and Owen; Jeff McNish of Kelowna and his children Jesse, Destiny and James; Karl McNish (Jennifer) of Regina and their children Patrick and Mitchell; her mother Peggy Bahr of Regina; brother Jeff Bahr (Michelle) of Okotoks, AB and their children Jordyn, Reid and Breckyn; sister Heather Hladun (Grant) of Shellbrook, SK and their children Noah and Taylor. Predeceased by her father Jim Bahr.

Cheryl loved life, was a graduate of the University of Regina and received a degree in Sports Administration. She worked at the Regina Pat’s Office, moved to Kelowna in December 1989 and had a successful career as a Realtor until her illness. Cheryl had a passion for the sport of hockey and the laughter of the children in her life.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Michael Bobyn and staff and also Dr. Marianne Taylor and Staff.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s United, 3131 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC, with interment to follow in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

A gift in living memory of Cheryl will be made to “Hospice Care” by Springfield Funeral Home.
