MURRAY, Diane

MURRAY, Diane

Diane Margaret Murray was born August 25th, 1944, in Red Deer AB, and passed away January 19th, 2018 in Kelowna, BC. Diane was also known as Mums, Deeds, DD, Di and, maybe most importantly, Nana-Bear. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, John and Stewart, daughter-in-law, Melanie, as well as a loving Nana to her four granddaughters, Ella, Jayne, Kate and Maisie who loved her dearly.
Diane was a highly committed, caring daughter to her predeceased mother and father, Jean and Fred Lamb and sister to her brother, John Lamb. A loyal friend to many, Diane always gave generously of her time and heart to those who were close to her. She was a woman of boundless positive energy and a strong sense of pride. Diane was highly active and contributed in many ways to the community in which she lived. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 30 years, President of the Chamber of Commerce, volunteer at the Kelowna General Hospital, was active at the West Kelowna Yacht Club and on the social committee at Sonoma Pines. Throughout her wonderful life, Diane worked successfully as a health care worker, a legal secretary, florist, realtor and real estate marketer. Although her physical presence will be greatly missed, her energy and amazing spirit will surround all those that know and love her. For those interested, donations can be made to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, www.kghfoundation.com. The family would like to thank all the kind and caring professionals who helped treat her and care for her. A private celebration of life will take place in her honor this Spring in West Kelowna where we can all pay tribute to this incredible and beloved person.

We are truly sorry to hear about Diane's passing. Diane was a wonderful, vivacious person and a loving wife to our late father, Charles Edward Murray. Her companionship made his final years very special. We will always remember with fondness the many fun times we had together. Her memory is enshrined in our hearts.

Well I will miss your mom's smiling face as I go by the 3rd hole at Two Eagles, but I'll never go by without thinking of her that's for sure! We 1st met back in my early Real Estate days with Wayne, and then got to enjoy her company once again down at the Yacht Club with Ed. She was all Class, all the time! RIP Diane, Fred T

We were terribly sorry to hear about Diane's passing but happy that she isn't suffering anymore. Diane married our close friend Wayne from Calgary many years ago and will always remember the fun times we had with them and the Clarke's.

It is with my deepest heartfelt sympathy I send my condolences to the family of my dear friend Diane. I met her when I worked in a legal office in Vancouver and we became fast friends. My husband Chuck and I were friends with her and her husband Wayne for many years. I will keep those memories in my heart. Goodbye dear friend.
