    Mary & Family,

I have sent condolences to you but I failed to sign my name. I mentioned meeting Clayton & Denise at High School. My thoughts are with you all, and cherish the memories from all the years gone by.

    Blessings to all, Jean Conrad

My sincere sympathies to the Morey family. I worked with Doug for many years and remember him as a gentle giant of a man. I was always able to make him chuckle at my antics and he always had a listening ear and was kind and genuine. He raised some exceptional men in Bill, Ben and Clayton, with whom I have also had the privilege of working with over the past years.

    With love, Carla Bodie

My dear Mary, my special sister, I am going to miss your Doug so much, he was always there to help me through good times and bad and there was both through the many years. He gave me such good guidance and advice I'm sure sometimes he could have pulled his hear out but he had much more back then. I appreciated him so much. Thank you for including me in your family gathering. Love you all very much. May Jehovah give you all strength and peace in the days ahead. Big hugs to all. Alice

Will always remember how close our families were, as us Hamm & Morey kids grew up together.

A few years ago, Doug left a memorable impression on my late husband Wayne when they met, and he always asked how Doug was doing.

Hugs to your family, and all who loved Doug.

Doug was far more to me then words here could ever express. Powerful, focused, kind and loving. The time and effort he willingly gave to help shape me and my life is with me every day. Such an amazing man which I feel so blessed to have had in my young life, when I needed a powerful guide and support the most. I am forever grateful that we lived right next door for so many years. Although I realise that words can not even come close to expressing My love, gratitude, admiration and respect for Doug and all the family, I wish to send my love to you all. I truly am so sorry for your great loss, but am confident you will be united again one day soon.

    10 fingers or 8?

I always held up my 10, he could only do 8...and a bit.

Doug will always be the rock and anchor I've remembered and admired. He was always there for whomever needed an ear and, some well thought out council.

He brought his family up right, and they followed his lead with their own families.

I look forward to the day when we can laugh together again to learn from from your experiences and your farming skills.

Thank you Mary, Deb, Bill, Ben, Denise and Clayton for letting me be a part of your extended family as short as it was.

It was approximately 49 years ago when a boy of nine moved next door to the Morey family. It wasn't long before the Morey family became his second home, the boys his best friends.

It's a sad day when someone you love and respect passes away, but we are not left completely without hope. I long for the day when we will see the promise of Revelation 21:3,4 fulfilled " he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more".

I hope to be in that long lineup welcoming Doug back.

    Your brother and friend

    Rick Lenney

Mary very sorry for your loss! I met you and Doug through my sister Shirley and George Zarr! I used to babysit for them in their first few years of marriage and I got to meet little Debbie too. I am happy that you have all your children to help you through this sad time. It was nice to see his picture as he hasn't aged a bit as I remember him. Take care and know you have many friends around you.
