MENTA, Giovanna

Giovanna Menta, 93, passed away on July 7th at the Central Okanagan Hospice House, and will be forever and lovingly remembered by family and many friends. She was born on July 31, 1924 in Celano, Italy. Giovanna immigrated to Canada in 1959, and she and her husband Giulio established their life together in Kelowna. She first worked for Henderson

We just saw this on the August long weekend otherwise we would have attended your funeral. Our deepest condolences to family and friends. Signora Menta was a wonderful lady and my parents have know her from the sixties.

While I know I will miss our daily phone calls and our visits, I am happy that you are now with your husband, Giulio, and surrounded by friends and family that you missed. Thank you for many years of friendship and all that you taught me and brought into my life and the life of my family and my friends. You had the gift of making friends wherever you went.

I am so sorry for your loss. Giovanna was a lovely friend I met through Jacquie and Robert Conchie. She was such a pleasure to be around and will be missed so much.

She was a special person and our family always had a special place in our hearts for her. My Dad (Val) and her used to tease each other a lot when they would get together and had some amazing laughs.

She was a lot of fun to be around and I always called her my girlfriend.

My sympathy to Giovanna's family and many friends. I am missing this lovely lady so much. Yesterday after "our program" I was halfway down the hall before I remembered she wasn't there. She was so lifegiving!

Many fond memories from over the years. Giovanna and Giulio were close friends of Aunty Ida and Uncle Harold Graff. The guys would be making their wine and the gals in the kitchen cooking and laughter filled the house - the good old days!
