MAERTENS, Herta Catharine

MAERTENS, Herta Catharine - Passed away on July 13, 2009 three weeks short of her 93rd birthday.

Herta will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Dunja and son-in-law Hans-Joachim Lauenstein, her grandchildren Misha Lauenstein (Dianne), Rene Lauenstein, and Tanya Normandale (Noah), and great-grandson Nikolas Paquin. She was granted her wish to join her husband Hermann, who passed away in 1985.

A special thanks to Dr. Gerhard Verster and the helpful nurses at KGH, and to Patricia Teichgraber and all the caregivers from Interior Health.

A private family service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, Kelowna. Donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon, #4 1551 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, B.C., V1Y 9M9.
