MACLEOD, Dorothy “Hilda” (Girard)
“Daughters of the Nile”
October 18th, 1932 – July 4th, 2008

Hilda was born in Ottawa Ontario. She married Dan MacLeod on July 15th 1950.

Hilda will be missed and fondly remembered by her husband of 57 years, her brother Harvey and her children Donna, Donald, Douglas, Margaret and their spouses, Peter, Bette, Jackie & Chuck. Hilda is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Carrie & her husband, Lorne, Matthew, Alexander, Eric, Sarah, Savannah & Stephen and her great grandchildren, Sydney & Kelsey.

Hilda was preceded in death by her father Harvey; mother Eveline, brother Gerald & sister Margaret.

Hilda & Dan spent 28 years moving around the country as Dan was in the RCAF/CAF. After retiring they became snowbirds, finally settling in Westbank for the past nine years.

Hilda succumbed to complications of Alzheimer’s disease after a five year battle.

Memorial service to be held Thursday July 10th at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
