MACEACHERN, Alvin - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and companion, Al MacEachern, at Kelowna General Hospital on November 6th 2011.

Al grew up in Kentville, Nova Scotia, where he had many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He moved to Vancouver, working there for many years until moving to Kelowna with his long time companion, Patricia Day. He loved the BC lifestyle, and enjoyed sailing, golf, music and spending time with his friends.

We would like to thank Dr. Alan Broome and his staff, the doctors and nurses of Kelowna General Hospital, and the staff of Valley Medical Labs for their great care during All’s last illness; and the management and staff of Callahan Property Management Group and Colliers International for their kindness and support.

Al did not want a funeral or a service, but asked that his ashes be taken “somewhere beautiful, near the water”.
