LUFT (Wolfson Primrose), Daisy
September 27th, 1918 – December 19th, 2011
Our precious little Daisy passed away peacefully on December 19th at the Village at Smith Creek surrounded by the love of her family with her twins by her side. She died, blessedly, in her sleep and what a fitting way to go as she never was one to cause a fuss or complain about anything. Just days before, she was smiling, waving and chatting with her family.
Daisy lived a long, healthy, happy and prosperous life with the last number of years spent in Kelowna. She came from a humble, but strong beginning, being born north of Rumsey, Alberta into a large farming family. She met and married the love of her life Haishie, and spent many of her years as a hard working farm wife. They moved to Calgary where he died shortly thereafter and she was on her own with a young family to care for. She then met and married Ray Luft with whom she spent many happy years traveling and enjoying life. What can you say about a lady who raised, cared for and loved her family from very early on to where they are now, flourishing. She was the heart of our family. She enjoyed life and spent all of her free time with her family whom she adored. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.
She was predeceased by her husbands Haishie and Ray, sister Helen (Toodie), brothers Don, Jack, Glen, Scott and granddaughter Cheryl. Daisy is survived by her children Dianne Zak (Al), Keith Wolfson (Cathy), Jeanette Wannop (John), Jayne Hipfner (Grant), by ten grandchildren and by eight great grandchildren.
Thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Village at Smith Creek for the attention and loving care they gave our little “Rock Star” in the pink sunglasses. A private ceremony will be held in Mom’s honor at a date to be determined and her ashes placed at that time.
