    Cathy and family,

I was so sorry to hear of Glen's passing. Even though we are now living in Ontario, I try to keep in touch with folks in Kelowna. I just read the news.

He was a wonderful man and a good friend. He helped me make the transition from Secondary administration to Elementary administration. He was the perfect mentor for me. I have such fond memories of our days at Pearson and the wonderful times of fellowship at your house. Please be assured of our prayers for you and the family at this time.

    Blessings.

Cathy, I'm so sorry to hear of Glen's death. I got to know Glen through our connection through North Glenmore, and as a parent and professionally through our work together on the District Technology Committee. His knowledge, leadership and enthusiasm were invaluable to the committee as we sought to implement the new technology of computers in an era with few guidelines. I know he was a leader in many other aspects of the school community as well. He had a great sense of humour and was a good friend. I know how he valued you and the family. It's a sad day indeed. Glenn was a fantastic person.

He was a great father, great husband, and a great leader.

He gave unselfishly to the education system and to the community at large. I got to know Glenn when we had some difficult times in our school district and he showed great strength and leadership. Not only was he a leader at the school level but he was also a leader with various positions at the District and Provincial levels.

I just loved working with him as he always managed to be able to add a fresh perspective with a good dose of humour. His little smile and quiet chuckle was a trademark of his.

I was very fortunate to know and work with such an outstanding educational professional.

Cathy, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Mr. Lownsbrough was the principal of South Rutland Elementary during my intermediate years. He was so innovative and I remember how he introduced us to computers in the early '80's. I often think of his kindness and the way he always referred to us as "pupils". My sincere condolences to his family.
