LINENKO, Helen Patricia (nee Phelps)
January 28, 1926 – February 10, 2011

It is with deep sorrow that we announce Mom’s sudden passing on February 10, 2011. She was predeceased by her loving husband Peter on September 16, 2010.

Mom was the best Mom ever! She spent her whole life caring for her family. She loved to sew, knit, crochet and was an avid gardener. She grew the most fragrant, beautiful roses and tended to her vegetable garden for many, many years. Mom was also an avid canner and her daughter Linda now carries on her legacy.

She was the loving mother to Linda (Jim), Patricia (Terry) and Trudy (Daryl); grandmother to: Chris, Ben and Emmy and great grandmother to Shae and Ella.

Mom enjoyed many years of retirement with Dad, they walked daily to the lake and back. They travelled around BC and western USA. She spent her last three and half years at the Village of Smith Creek, where she was cared for by her loving village staff-family - thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

A celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 15th at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.

No flowers please, memorial donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the “Garden Program”, at the Village at Smith Creek, 2425 Orlin Road, West Kelowna, BC, V4T 3C7.
