LIESCH, Lawrence R. (Lorne)

LIESCH, Lawrence R. (Lorne) - Lorne passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the age of 76.

Lorne was predeceased by his son, Larry and daughter, Debbie and he is survived by loving wife of 55 years, Marj and daughters Lori (Lyle) Hinrichsen, Chris (Bruce) Smith, Margie (Rod) Liesch and Leanne (Dan) Knorr. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Ryan, Robbie, Terry, Darryl, Andrew, Nadine, Miranda and Shani as well as great-children, Brent, Ty, Brody and Mikaisha. He is also survived by his brothers Peter (Lil), Cache Creek, Ed, Moosemin, SK, Larry (Kay), Kelowna and sister Mabel (Bob) Southern, Kelowna.

Lorne was born July 30, 1933 in McCreary, Manitoba and after serving in the Canadian Navy Lorne and Marj moved to Kelowna where Lorne became Transportation Supervisor for School District #23 until his retirement.
