As a life-long member of the Okanagan Centre community, Anne had a wealth of knowledge of the people and events of the area. Growing up in OKC I always felt that we were watched over and dearly loved by the adults of our community and nothing would get by Anne if we were tempted to misbehave.

It was always a pleasure and an honour to share a cup of tea with her and listen to her stories. Each time I returned to OKC I'd drop in to have a chat with Anne. I will greatly miss those visits.

Sincere condolences to Ian, Elizabeth, Nancy and each member of the extended family. We celebrate Anne's life well lived and long remembered.

Anne Land was one lovely bright, happy, lady, and a joy to know. We were new to Okanagan Centre, and in our 5 years living there.....we thoroughly enjoyed Anne's company, and getting her to Church along with other neighbours who made sure she could attend the services on Sundays. It was delightful too for me to learn that she was a Goldie. Her father had come from Guelph, Ontario to work at the Rainbow Ranche. I too, had come from Guelph, having been very active with the Guelph Historical Society there, and knew of the Goldie Family and their lovely home, her Father had left. What a small world!! Our deepest sympathy to her Family and to Tessa her niece, who spent much time with Anne after Tessa's retirement. Anne's bright smile and cheerful spirit will be sorely missed in her community of friends.

Anne was my mentor in putting together the book Paved with Good Intentions. She was a wealth of information on the early pioneers in Lake Country, and brought to life the history of the area. Volunteering at the Museum along side Anne was a wonderful experience, as she always had a story to tell. A beautiful woman with a heart of gold - she will be sorely missed.

Anne was such a positive woman who was kind to everyone. I have good memories of her and my children remember her as the Librarian at the Okanagan Centre School. They have spoken of her often. Another original Okanagan Centre person gone on to meet up with her husband Sid and all the others who went before. RIP Anne.
