It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lena Kraehenbill on October 3, 2018 in Kelowna, BC at the age of 102. A funeral Service will be held at the Fist Lutheran Church on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 10:00am. Located at 4091 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC. Following will be a burial at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna, BC.

    I'm sorry to have missed the funeral service as I had fender bender with the car coming there and by time police, tow trucks and having a ride home it was too late.

    I wanted to be there for that WONDERFUL Lady that we spent hours with playing cards and enjoying her baked goodies. Also we had the pleasure for several years to pick her and her husband up for church which they did not want miss.

    Lena, I'll miss you. You were a wonderful resident of Winchester Place - quietly upbeat, kind, and thoughtful. You picked me strawberries in your early nineties. Strawberries - they grow on the ground. You were fit and flexible enough to bend down to pick them. I was so impressed. I was continuously surprised by your health and vitality. Even after surpassing 100, you rarely used a cane or walker. You will be missed by your friends at Winchester Place. My condolences to all of your family.
