KORZINSKI, Lorraine Bettyanne Phylis

Aug.19, 1938-Dec.26, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Lorraine at the age of 80.
Lorraine passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her bedside at the Kelowna General Hospital.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Stan of 60 years, her parents Mary and Edmond LaRose, and her granddaughter Tiffany Noel Fedor.
Her early childhood was spent in rural Saskatchewan with her parents and six siblings; Yvonne(Harry), Robert (Gene), Ronald (Maryanne), Jeanette(Harold), Joyce(Johnny), and Edmond(Buzz)(Carol).
At the age of 16, mom met dad in Regina. That's where they married on Dec. 17, 1954. Regina became their home where they raised five children, Stan Jr.(Lorraine), Charlene(Donald), Pam(John), Jocelyn, and Bradley(Dwight).
After leaving Regina, Lorraine and Stan had many adventures re-locating in various places in Canada. It was while on a holiday in the Okanagan that mom and dad fell in love with Kelowna. That move took place in 1973.
Shortly after settling in Kelowna mom and dad set up their own company. They combined their names, and "LORSTAN AUTO CLEAN SERVICES" was born! Lorstan remained the cornerstone of excellence for over 25 years.
In between working full time and raising a family, mom had many talents. These interests included oil painting, all kinds of wood working crafts and crafts in general. She loved to play crib anytime, anywhere. Antique hunting, golfing and watching her Blue Jays and the Roughriders. She never forgot her roots in Saskatchewan and truly had "Rider Pride"!!
What shone through even brighter than the blue in her eyes was the love she gave to everyone she met!

Along with seven grandchildren; Andrea(Corey), Lisa, Chelcee(Shane), Sarah(Mike), David(Ailsa), Kendra and Jay-lin(Brett). She was also blessed with twelve great grandchilden; Grace, Owen, Madisyn, Oliver, Hunter, Bentley, Aislynn, Lincoln, Daenera, Alexis, Samuel and Amelia.
Mom we will carry you in our hearts forever!!

Our family would like to thank the staff at Chartwell/Chatsworth, the nurses and Doctors at Kelowna General Hospital, the staff at Cottownwoods Short Stay Unit, Guisachan Family Medicine for their compassion and care that our mother received during this very difficult time.

In honour of Lorraine's memory, a donation to the Diabetes Association www.diabetes.ca would be greatly appreciated

I am so sorry to find out that Mom passed away. I enjoyed spending my summers at the Korzinski home and helping out at the shop with my best friend Pam. I will truly miss her and Dad - they were my 2nd set of parents and always welcomed me with open arms when I came to visit. The Korzinski's were what I considered my 2nd family. Pam and I became close friends when we met at Ernest Morrow Elementary (Calgary, Ab) doing gymnastics - and kept in touch all the years until recently. I am saddened by this news and my heart goes out to the whole Family. Sending much love to all.

I only met your Mother once but she made an amazing impression, I can only imagine your loss. It is comforting to know that you and Dwight made the effort to move closer to her in the latter years. Mere months earlier I also lost my Mother ( in Vernon) and you should know that you also made a lasting impression upon her. ... seems only fair. My sincerest condolences to you and all of your family.

So sorry to hear the sad news of the passing of your mom. Lorraine and your dad (Stan) remained long time friends with my parents. My mom has shared her fond memories of the trip they took with your parents to the states looking for antiques and what a fun trip that was. Your mom and dad were both exceptionally kind/nice people and raised just as considerate and thoughtful children. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Pam and family, your lovely smile and that of your Mom's always touched my heart and made me smile too. The warmth that was felt when you came to visit, and also to take your Mom out will stay with me. Our Bingo days always made me wish I could be playing with my mom too, but sharing all of the Mom's at Chartwell gave me some of the best memories that I have had. May memories warm your heart, and there is a New Angel in Heaven. -Thinking of you Marcia Wilson
