KLYM, Jack

KLYM, Jack

On July 19, 2017, on a day filled with laughter and love, Jack Klym sang his last song. His wife of 60 years Doreen, son Greg (Kathy), daughter Donna (Brian Adolph), grandchildren Daniel, Lauren, Brandon, Mathew and Stephanie will miss his quick wit and gentle nature. He was predeceased by his parents and elder brother Bill, and survived by his sister Elsie and many nieces and nephews.

Jack was born in Calgary where he worked in the propane industry before starting the Gas-X Car Wash and Gas Bar on 14th Street NW. He was a graduate of Harvard Business School. Jack and Doreen retired to Vernon in 1981. He loved music, his rich baritone delivering classic country tunes. He was a great dancer, storyteller, and jokester, easy-going and kind, charming and gentle. His passing leaves a huge hole in the family and he will be missed by so many.

The family thanks Dr. Long for his years of compassion and friendship. Much love to the amazing staff at Noric House for their loving care. At Jack's request there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack's name to the music program at Noric House 1400 Mission Rd. Vernon BC V1T 9C3 (250) 545-9167.

Just heard of Jack's passing and must say it came as sad news. Although it's been many years since I have seen Jack and the family I won't forget him. His family played a large part of my teen years and for that I am very thankful. My deepest condolences to Doreen, Greg and Donna. God Bless.
