KITCHIN, James Stuart

KITCHIN, James Stuart

KITCHIN, James Stuart - Our wonderful husband, father, and friend passed away in the loving arms of his wife on August 7th, 2010 at the age of 62.

He is predeceased by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife Louise, his daughter Lyndsay Richholt (Jeremiah), his son Jimmy Kitchin, his brothers in law Steve Markle (Cara), Stu Markle (Launa), his sisters in law Linda Konkin (David) and Lesley Stewart (Chris), as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He married his soulmate on September 1st, 1979 and they moved to Kelowna in 1983 where they raised their family. Jim was AVP & District Manager Equipment Financing at Canadian Western Bank for many years before retiring in 2007. Jim was known for his sense of humor and quick wit. He had the ability to make one laugh until their stomach hurt. In more recent years he loved to spend the winters at their place in Cave Creek, Arizona, where he and Louise would ride their motorcycles through the desert stopping for the odd Budweiser. He lived a rich life owed to the time spent with loving family and friends. He fought cancer bravely and beat the medical prognosis due to sheer inner strength and attitude. He finally succumbed after a seven year fight. Saturday evening Jim rode his Harley Davidson into the setting sun on the highway to Heaven. Jim, you are in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
