JONES (NEE FORSYTH), Trudy

JONES: Trudy (nee Forsyth). It is with sad hearts that we announce the unexpected, sudden passing of Trudy Jones on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020. She leaves to mourn her daughter Anne Anchikoski, grandsons Cole, Mitchell and Chase and great grandson Jayden, together with Brother Oliver Forsyth, and several other relatives.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Robert (Bob) in 1995, son-in-law Alan in 2000 and Sister Eleanor (Ellie) in 2004.
Trudy was born on a farm at Spruce Lake, Sask on August 20th, 1935. At the age of 17, she began her work career at the local grocery store. After several years she took and completed her Practical Nurses training and subsequently ended up working in Regina, Sask, where she met and married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Jones. Their only daughter Anne was born the following year.

Robert’s employment took them to several cities across Canada, including Ontario, Nova Scotia and then returning back west to Edmonton and Calgary.
In 2004 Trudy moved from Calgary to Oyama to be closer to her daughter and family.

She busied herself with her yard and gardening, assisting family and friends whenever she could lend a hand.
She will be sorely missed. Due to Covid-19, a private family service will be held graveside at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Kelowna on Thursday, August 13th, 2020.
