It is with great sadness that the family of Leona Jones announces her passing, on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the age of 94 years.

Leona will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Darlene Walker and Lucille Weninger of Kelowna, her siblings, Lucille Steil of Armstrong, Marcella Pickering of Prince George, Chuck Arrance, of Castlegar and Alf Arrance of Kelowna, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Leona was predeceased by her daughter Elaine DeGuire and her son Darrell DeGuire.

A Funeral Service in memory of Leona will be held on Saturday, March 10, at 11:00 a.m., at Sunpointe Village,700 Rutland Rd North.

With much fondness of memory do I remember you Gram...we were fishing, you and I and Laurie, the images from that afternoon so many years ago still vivid and warming to my heart. Tho we fished rigorously for salmon that day, only you reaped any reward--the most god awful, bulbous faced catfish I had ever seen, yet I envied you your catch for I caught nothing!...And now you cast your line upon a different sea dear Gram, your life here long lived and loved amidst a colorful myriad of years--your legacy certain to be treasured deeply by those many family left saddened by your passing, yet your welcome to another 'life', embraced eagerly by Elaine, Darrell and Laurie...Godspeed Gram!...love Dar
