JONES, Andrew Robert

March 16, 1924 - February 5, 2019

Andrew Robert Jones passed peacefully surrounded by his family at home after a short illness on February 5, six weeks short of his 95th birthday.

Andrew was a World War II vet and served with the RCMP for over 25 years.

He was the most honourable, kind, giving, patient, caring, strong in character provider who loved deeply and lead his family proudly.

Andrew is survived by his wife Claire of almost 60 years, daughters Margie (Larry) and Catherine; sons David (Leanne) and Robert; grandchildren Jonathan (Debra), Janel (Dan) Yoshi (Kim), Colin (Sonu), Curtis, Cody and Molly; great Grandchildren Ava, Josiah, Keyahn, Ilia, Kayd, Mason and Alexis; and his sister Jessie Lindgren.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Rutland Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 130 Gerstmar Road, Kelowna.

    It is with great sympathy and sorrowful hearts that we extend our condolences to our family. Andy was indeed a Godly man who loved his God and family.
    May the peace of God our father be with you all. We are so sorry we cannot be there tomorrow. But we will cherish the memories we have of Andy. We are so thankful that we spent Christmas with him and the family.

    We held only love and respect for our dear friend Andy whom we shall miss dearly. We have the comfort of knowing he was God's child and look forward to being reunited in the life of eternity with our Lord and Savior. Andy holds a very special place in our hearts.     I loved Andy, knew him since the old Salmon Arm days. He was a wonderful man and I am sure he will be greatly missed.
