JOHNSTON, Barbara May (Rose) February 2, 1932 - October 26, 2014 - It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Johnston on October 26, 2014. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her favourite times were those spent with her family at the cabin by the lake. She was a friend to many through her involvement with St Michael's church, Beta Sigma Phi and her beloved bridge group. She is survived by 4 children: Cathy (Bill) Caldwell, Linda (Dave) Kingston, David (Cathy) Johnston and Shelagh (Tom) Bigsby, eight grandchildren: Sean, Erin, Megan, Brian, Aaron, Patrick, Jordan and Kylie and three great-grandchildren: Quintin, Scott and Isaiah and her dear sister Gail (Hugh) Moore. Predeceased by her grandson Scott in 1988. A memorial service will be held at St. Michael's and All Angels Church, 608 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna, BC, on Friday, October 31st at 2:00 pm. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of at Kelowna General hospital for their compassionate care.
