Alfred Norman Johns 1919-2011. Alf passed away on March 15, 2011, at his beloved home in the Okanagan mountains. He is predeceased by his father Hector Johns, mother Elizabeth Johns, brother Sid, sister Rosemary, and sister Nancy. Alf is survived by his nieces and nephews: Heather Basigin, Wayne Johns, Stewart Johns, Gary Johns, Peter Merkley, Meridy Lips, Susan Wuthrich, and Josephine Duguay as well as his close family friends. Alf loved the Okanagan, its land and its wildlife. Alf's and his family’s legacy will continue on through his generous gift of park land to the Central Okanagan Parks & Wildlife Trust. The land is gifted on behalf of the Johns Family in the hope that those that love nature as they did, will continue to enjoy the land for generations to come. At Alf’s request, there will be no funeral service. The family will gather in a private ceremony for Alf on the family land.
