JARVIS, Everett

JARVIS, Everett (February 6, 1926 - May 9, 2012), It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Everett E. Jarvis on May 9, 2012 at Kelowna General Hospital. Everett was born in Saskatchewan then moved to Port Arthur, Ontario. As a young man, he served in the Navy during the Second World War and later spent many years as a salesman for London Life Insurance. Everett eventually moved to Kelowna working with Metropolitan Life Insurance and Dominion Auto Insurance. He was a life member and former president of Unit # 376 of the Army Navy Air Force Veteran's Club. Everett was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was active within the community. He was honoured to be the recipient of the Golden Jubilee Medal and the A.N.A.F. award of merit. Everett was a loving father and grandfather, an avid curler and sports fan and loved spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Alan) Perrier, Sherry (Alan) Fast; sister, Alice Brown; grandchildren, Suzanne (Justin), Alex and Nicholas. Predeceased by brothers, Walter and Edward; sisters, Wilma and Evelyn. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15th at the Army Navy & Airforce Veteran's Club, 270 Dougall Rd, North, Kelowna.
