ITO, Hiromi

ITO, Hiromi - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hiromi Ito on March 15, 2010, at the age of 77, with his family by his side.

He is survived by his two sons, Rick (Michele), Doug (Chrissy), and their mother Vera, 4 grandchildren, Tajanna, Makaiya, Taya and Takoda, 2 sisters Kaye and Sue, as well as nieces and nephews.

Romi was well known in the community. He spent many years as the mechanic at Keloka Orchards, and later working at Kal Tire. A natural athlete, he played many sports including baseball and hockey. He later took up skiing, followed by curling. He remained a life long member at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club. Romi will be fondly remembered for his kind and gentle nature towards friends and family, his ethic of hard work and respect for others. As the grandchildren say,
