Theresia -- We learned through the Rotary District (Peter Schultz) of Adolph's passing. Please accept our sincere condolences. He was a fine man, and I often told him he was a model for me as a Rotary District Governor. We enjoyed seeing you both at Rotary events, and we will miss Adolph's smiling face and booming voice.

To all the family I am so sad to hear about Adolf...I remember when I first started at the store and Adolf was working in the back and I found him quite intimidating and then after only a very short time realized what a wonderful funny man he was. Hard working and expected only the best and you were happy to oblige...again so sorry for your loss.

I am saddened for the Illichman's family loss. Adolf was an inspiration to many upcoming Chef's and his passing is a tremendous loss to all that knew him. He and a brave few started the Okanagan Chef's Association in the 1980's and has always been a supporter of the Culinary Arts in the Okanagan. My condolences.

Dearest Theresia, Judith, Thomas, Robert and the entire Illichmann family.

It is with immense sadness that I write this tribute. I am grateful to have known Adolf as a friend, mentor and colleague when we both served as board members for La Chaine des Rotisseurs.

We were neighbors and shared many glasses of wine, enjoyed family celebrations and had so many profound conversations about life and solved many world problems, or so we thought! I appreciated his no nonsense style, his commitment to his family and friends and for numerous years (decades I think) of service to Rotary. What a wonderful legacy to leave for his family.

His gregarious personality was huge, perhaps only second to his heartfelt laugh and bear hugs. Thanks for the memories Adolf, you will be missed by many.

    RIP and ciao per adesso

    Sincerely and Affectionately
