HOWELL, Ruth

Passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the age of 77 years. Survived by her loving husband Peter of 42 years; son Stephen Howell of Toronto; brother Ted Hall (Cherry) of New Westminster, BC and extended family. Ruth worked in Toronto for the Board of Education for 34 years, retired in 1996 and moved to Kelowna in 2002. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all the nurses and staff at Brookhaven Care Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1633 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1P6.
