My condolences to the Hoffman Family. I met Wilfred in 1986 when I took on the completion of our family home following my husbands severe stroke the summer before. It was a daunting task and Wilfred went above and beyond to stop by when in the neighbourhood to inspect, offer advice and encouragement and to ensure all was going well, with countless trades involved. I could not have done it without his help and I have sung his praises to many over the years. He will be missed by many more than you know.

"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered the heart of man to conceive what God has prepared for those who love him."

And so Wilf has left us to finish our toil in preparation for our own day of resurrection. May our Father enclose your hearts with His comfort and peace at this leave taking, and leave the door slightly ajar so that the light of heaven may shine upon you. I much regret that because of a stroke that has left me half paralyzed that I will not be able to attend the funeral and see all of you, and exchange one of those warm and memorable Hoffman hugs, but I (we) will be with you in spirit. May Wilf rest--and rejoice-- in peace!

    Affectionately, Jan and Wally Schredl

Wilf is special and will always have a place in our heart. I have known Wilf all my life and he defiantly had an impact on me . He had passion for his work, understood people and had respect for everyone. Over the years we solved many agriculture issues . He had a tremendous outlook on life and was always up for challenge. We had a lot laughs during our early morning discussions at the Regional District.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Odile, Marty, Trevor, Michael, Jason, Michele, & Megan:

We keep you in our prayers as we remember wonderful Wilf - he did much to welcome a couple of disoriented Aussies in 1969, and help acculturate us to real Canadian traditions. We hunted, fished, and enjoyed much mirth - and feel great comfort in knowing that Wilf lived a remarkable life, made his family prosper, and did much to make this world a better place. . . and has moved peacefully on to greener pastures. Love and best wishes, always.

Odile I am so sorry for your loss - I will never forget the time I met Wilf when Stephanie and Jason before they were married - I always got so many hugs from him and especially when we were picking his blueberries. He was always so happy to see us and the when his grandchildren came Anna the first born who loved to pick the blueberries and gave PaPa Hoffman so many hugs.

I loved Wilf when I first met him as he was so loving and greeted me as a family member with hugs.

I will always remember him when I first met him and even later on but life has a way of saying its time. I know my time will come and I am prepared as Wilf would be. I had only wished that he could have known the last gran child Everley Nellie Hoffman as she would make him smile. Wilf I always talk in the evening with my friends to the sky and will talk to you - as you are an angel looking over your family. We will never forget you and you will always be in my prayers. I will also lite a candle for you each year as I do for others in my family on this day.

Odile and family I want you to remember who he was and smile with the memories you have. These memories will always be with you and later keep smiling.

Love & Hugs from Nellie Senyk

Auntie Odile, Marty, Robin, Michelle, Trevor, Michael, Megan, Jason and families, I am so sorry for the loss of Uncle Wilbur. I will always remember him as a strong, loving, gentle giant. He was always larger than life in my eyes. Your family is a great legacy to him. I hope you can take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and will be joining so many family and friends in Heaven. Even when it is expected losing your loved one is a great loss that takes time. You will always miss him but one day it will be less raw. Please know you are in my heart and in my thoughts during this difficult time. Sending all my love.

Odile and Megan and family. So sorry to hear of Wilf's passing. He was one of my favourites while Ron and I were in Rehab at KGH and then at Cottonwoods, Ethel Glen. When someone you love dies you never get over it. You just slowly get through each day and always keep them close to your heart. Take care.

    Sincerely Kacy Renneberg.
