It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother Ruth Hochhausen. Ruth passed away very peacefully with her family by her side on Feb. 6, 2012.

Ruth will be forever missed by her family and many friends. She leaves behind her loving family: Son Gary Ellis (Darlene), Daughter Ciel Ellis (Cindy-Lou) (Rob), Granddaughter Claire and Grandsons Brice & Ryan. She is survived by her sister Jan Chamberland, brothers Jerry & Butch Strudwick, Nieces; Lee Chamberland, Debbie - Bonnie - Cindi (Strudwick), Sherri Ellis, Nephews; Marc Chamberland, Wayne Strudwick. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Hank & Bernice Strudwick, her first husband Fred Ellis, third husband Joe Hochhausen, her sons Brian Ellis and Fred Ellis Jr.

A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at the Penticton Lakeside Resort on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Andy Moog & Friends Hospice House.
