My sincere condolences to Carol and the family of Des Hickey. Des was a man of great character. He was larger than life and had a caring side to him that was unmistakable. I'm proud to have known and worked with Des years ago.

He leaves behind fond memories and lifted spirits for everyone that he touched.

We were so sorry to hear of Des's passing. We all had so many good times together at fishing derbys, Christmas parties, The Elks club or just getting together for an old fashioned Fri. night. Thanks Des & Carol for all the memories. We'll be sure to raise our glasses & have a toast to him.

Carol, Rowan, Sherry and family, so sorry to read this sad news. I remember how much he loved his little Chihuahuas way back when, and I remember his bbq'd mushroom caps and how he loved to have fun.

    Condolences from the Bregolisse family.

Carol and family, so sorry to hear of Des's passing. We had lots of fun and great memories with you two at the Elks. Des was a great ambassador for the club. Also will miss his visits while cruising June Springs Road on his scooter with grand kids in tow.

Carol, Sherry, Rowan and families, I always remember visiting in Kelowna and having so much fun. Hearing Carol, Des, Dad, Uncle Ted and Mom, Auntie Blanche laughing and chuckling was the best! I am sure they are sitting down having a beverage and laughing as I speak. Hugs to you all and keep those memories close to your heart! I will raise my glass and have a toast to Captain Des tonight round the fire.

My memories of Des goes back to the early 1960s when we were just a bunch of bachelors enjoying the the week end house parties. Des always had at his side his faithful friend Duke, his Great Dane.

Always enjoyed Des company. My condolences to Carol and the family. He will be missed by all.
