HEWS, George Rene - Born August 29, 1934 in Morinville, Alberta passed away August 5, 2011 in Vernon, BC at the age of 76 years. He was predeceased by one sister, four brothers and one granddaughter.

George is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Leanne; three daughters; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and five sisters.

George was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Royal Canadian Legion, Army, Navy and Airforce, and the Elks.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, August 11th at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall, 5101 – 25th Avenue, Vernon BC.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Disaster Relief Trailer, c/o Fraternal Order of Eagles, 5101-25th Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1P5.
