HEATLEY, Margaret Alice

Margaret passed away peacefully and with dignity at the age of 93 on December 20th of this year at the Hospice House in Kelowna.

She is survived by her son, Robert Runnalls (Mary); daughter-in-law, France Grenier; former daughter-in-law, Mary Anne Runnalls; grandchildren: Romany & Rodney Runnalls, Rhonda Thurston, Kendra Runnalls and Karen Chamberlain; great-grandchildren: Zachery & Nicole Chamberlain, Connor Runnalls and Ashley & Ainsley Thurston. She is also survived by her sisters: Audrey (Bert) Stone of Grand Forks, Hazel (Vic) Pavan of Surrey and Daphne Johnson of Edmonton. She is sadly predeceased by her husband, Fred Heatley; son, Edward (Ted) Runnalls; and siblings, Stanley & Alan Dyer and Dorothy Mills. Margaret leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and extended family, and many golfing and bridge friends.

Margaret was an excellent bridge player. She enjoyed her home at Lakeshore Place in Kelowna where she made many good friends with whom she shared her pleasant and positive attitude.

A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held in the library at Manteo Resort on January 14th, 2012. Friends and family are welcome any time between 2:00 and 4:00 pm.
