Kevin Dean Hansen
1960 – 2020

Kevin Dean Hansen “aka Kemo” passed away on March 25, 2020 in Kelowna, BC at the age of 59.

Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his partner Lynda Pickney, children; Matthew (Amy) Ross and Juliana Hansen, grandchildren; Sawyer and Austyn, his father Keith Hansen, sisters; Kelly (Don) Buchner, Karen (Terry) Hansen and former brother in law Kris Rainey. He will also be missed by his nephews; Kyle (Britney) Buchner, Rylee (Daisy) Buckner, Wil & Triston Rainey. Kevin was predeceased by his Mom Doreen Hansen.

Kevin was an avid sports enthusiast and some of his happiest moments were spent behind the camera filming for the Kelowna Spartans and the Kelowna Rockets.

    To Dad Hansen, Kelly, Karen and all the family - I'm shocked to hear of Kevin's transition. He was too young to go.

    It's been awhile since I last saw him, probably at the gas station where he continued to entertain people that walked in the door.

    What I remember most about Kevin was his sly smile as he was telling a grand story with a twinkle in his eyes.

    Kevin and Rod had a connection when it came to hockey and movies, Kevin had an amazing knowledge of both. He was funny and kind. He was a really good man.
