HALL, Frances
HALL, Frances

HALL, Frances Ann - Mom passed away peacefully at Brandt’s Creek Mews at the wise age of 90 years, 6 months.

Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years Ronald, Sister Doreen at age 93, and Brother Jim at age 92. Surviving is her devoted sister Edna, her good friend Janet, her children Barbara (Brian), Bob (Bev), Marjorie (Donald) and Kathi (Brad), 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Our parents moved to Winfield in 1963. Mom was an awesome cook and worked for the Vernon Catering Company from which she was chosen to serve Queen Elizabeth II on her Okanagan trip through Vernon. She ran one of the kitchens at the Vernon Army Cadet Camp for many years. Mom was a proud Canadian and served with the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion for over 50 years. Both she and Dad were long time members of St Margaret’s Anglican Church in Winfield. This past April 2, we celebrated Mom’s 90th birthday with an “old fashioned Dinner and Dance” with 70 family and friends. She planned the menu and stayed till the last song was played. She truly was the “Belle of the Ball” and that has given our family another wonderful memory.

We want to thank the staff at Brandt’s Creek for their tender care of Mom. They are a loving and supportive group.

A memorial service to celebrate this great lady will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Lake Country Food Bank would be appreciated.

Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.mem.com.
